Pharmacy collection service

If you wish to avail of the pharmacy collection service whereby the pharmacy collect your script for repeat medication from the surgery and then you collect your medication directly from the chemist please state which chemist you would like to use when ordering repeat medication only.

Practice Radius

Following consultation with HSCNI, Errigal Medical Centre has reduced their practice radius from 12 to 10 miles 'as the crow flies'.

Minor Ailments

Chemists plays an important healthcare role in your local community. flu

Pharmacists are trained and qualified to treat many minor ailments saving you valuable time and freeing up local doctor surgeries so that those patients with more serious illnesses can be seen more quickly. Within a few minutes, you will be advised if the minor ailment affecting you, can be treated free under the Minor Ailment Scheme.

The service saves you time and currently covers:

  • Athletes Foot
  • Dhobie Itch
  • Diarrhoea
  • Head Lice
  • Threadworms
  • Vaginal Thrush
  • Ear Wax
  • Mouth ulcers
  • Oral Thrush

Whilst in most cases the treatment recommended by the pharmacist will cure your condition, it is important that if your symptoms persist you seek further advice from either the Pharmacist or your GP. If you choose to visit your GP always let the doctor know that you have been to your chemist and recieved treated under the minor ailments scheme and what medication you have been taking.
